- CMC Network
IMC Members who have earned their CMC designation have access to each other's expertise through this network of consultants. This CMC-only network provides consultants with demonstrated experience, competence, client satisfaction and ethics opportunities to leverage each other's capabilities, contacts, and resources.
- Communities of Practice
These groups enable you associate with other consultants who are close to you geographically, those working within your industry, or those who practice similar technical discipline. If you don't see a community that meets your needs, IMC can help you can create one. Most of our communities are accessible to the public, but you must register (free) for access.
- National Conference
IMC USA's National Conference is the largest annual conference for consultants on the business of consulting. Whether you're new to consulting, still building your customer base and offerings, or seasoned with years of experience, join us to get priceless hot tips, tactics and know-how on the business of consulting.
- Daily Tips For Consultants
From 2005 to 2011, IMC published a weekday Daily Tip for Consultants that provided ideas on marketing, service delivery, and practice management. IMC makes the last 800 of these tips available on its website. Tips are tagged and searchable.
- Find a Consultant
IMC provides a method for hiring managers to find IMC Members who may fill consulting opportunities. Managers may search by membership status, industry, and other criteria.
- How to Hire a Consultant
This handbook is available for IMC Members to give to prospective hiring managers. It describes a process for selecting a consultant, and helps to properly set expectations for the client. Available in both commercial and government versions.
- ICMCI as an NGO
IMC USA participates in the 50-nation International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI). ICMCI enjoys a Non-Government Organization Special Consultative Status granted via UN's Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). ICMCI explores global opportunities for its members through the United Nations.
- IMC Chapter Programs
There are IMC USA Chapters in 19 major metropolitan areas of the country. Each chapter determines its own programs and events, and you can attend as a guest at most of them. Visit the Chapters page for a list and links to individual chapter pages.
- IMC Online Store
IMC Members can sell their physical products through the IMC Store provided that they adhere to Store guidelines. This gives your practice an opportunity for national and international exposure.
- IMC USA Academy for Professional Development
The IMC USA Academy provides professional education along a specific Study Track to help management consultants to enhance their consulting skills, manage their practices, and find the most appropriate clients. - Affiliate and Alliance Partners
