As a unique member benefit, IMC USA provides all of its members with an on-line bibliography called the Professional Resource Guide containing a section listing management consulting resources, including IMC USA Recommended Resources, and a second section for listings of general business resources by category.

Professional Members seeking certification as a CMC will find the Resource Guide to be of particular value in preparation for the various certification steps. Go to the Professional Resource Guide download page.

The group conducting evaluations of outside resources for inclusion in the IMC USA Professional Resource Guide is the IMC USA Professional Resources Evaluation Team (PRET). Individual resource evaluations consider the following:
•    Consulting and/or business related content
•    Relationship to IMC USA’s Consulting Body of Knowledge and Competency Framework
•    Consistency with IMC USA’s Code of Ethics
•    If the content includes unique perspectives on management consulting
•    If the presentation of the content adds significant value to IMC USA members
•    Overall quality of the resource in relation to IMC USA member needs

Separately, the IMC USA Academy for Professional Development curriculum consists of materials developed by IMC USA where appropriate, but will primarily draw course materials from existing educational resources developed outside of IMC USA. For these resources to be included in the Academy curriculum, they must first be approved by the Academy Committee.

The IMC USA Academy Committee may also utilize resources listed and/or recommended in the Professional Resource Guide in the Academy’s course offerings. Potential use within an IMC USA Academy course is subject to a separate review and usage negotiations by the Academy Committee.
