The principle of reciprocity is that a consultant who has been awarded CMC by a full member of ICMCI should have their CMC recognised by all other members of ICMCI, without the need for further testing or assessment, unless these additional requirements have been registered with ICMCI.

The IMC USA Competency Framework - CMC Certification Scheme has replaced IMC USA Certification Standard 1 Revison 3 (CERT 1) as the single document for the CMC qualification which includes the competence requirements of candidates as well the procedures for examination, certification and re-certification. It is the fouth revision of the elegiblity standard.
