Workshop 24 - Agility: Essential for Today's Consultancy

The chapter is delighted to feature Melinda in a skill she has mastered in her own career: AGILITY. She's a celebrated speaker, TED talk presenter and successful businesswoman. Her company, Influence Advisors, works with clients worldwide on how to "Open Doors and Close Deals." She offers game-changing speeches, actionable workshops and individual coaching, both nationally and internationally. Melinda is a member of National Speakers Association and former advisory board member of the Dallas Chapter.

      Workshop facilitator

      Melinda Marcus. During her career, Melinda has been named one of the “Ten Outstanding Young Working Women in America” by Glamour magazine and “One of the Five Women to Watch in the Southwest” by ADWEEK magazine.

      Before starting her own firm in 1985, she was the first female Creative Director at The Richards Group. National and regional clients, including Fortune 500 companies and Fortune 100 privately held companies, have tapped her expertise in persuasive marketing and communications. She also has been engaged as a strategic alliance by public relations firms to overcome critical communications challenges, including high-profile issues for NFL teams, hospitals and defense contractors.

      Melinda is a highly rated keynote speaker and workshop leader on The Science of Influence. Business executives – both national and international – gain tools they can use immediately from her interactive speeches and workshops.

      She earned her B.A. with Honors in Psychology from Northwestern University and her M.F.A. in Mass Communications from Southern Methodist University. Her research on “First Impressions” has been published in the Journal of Applied Social Psychology. Melinda has served locally on the boards of The Psychoanalytic Foundation of Dallas and NAWBO, as well as on the Advisory Board of IMC. She was selected as a member of Leadership Texas and Dartmouth's Tuck-WBENC Executive Program. Melinda is a professional member of National Speakers Association and works with the North Texas chapter as a board liaison to convention bureaus.

      Cost per session:

      $15 for members, $25 for non-members
      (includes continental breakfast; please bring cash or check)

      IMC DFW now offers remote attendance via GoToMeeting - $5 for members, $15 for non-members
      (no continental breakfast!) 

      Members may now bring guests and pay the member rate for them.
