Steve Patterson benefits his clients with more than 30 years of hands-on experience in accounting and financial leadership, including 13 years as CFO of public and private companies.

A Texas CPA, Mr. Patterson's industry experience includes professional services, high-tech, wholesale distribution, healthcare services, manufacturing, energy and software as a service. His areas of expertise include performance improvement, IPO's, private capital and debt raises, budgeting, banking, risk management, SEC reporting and treasury management.

Steve has worked with leading national professional services firms, providing financial, accounting and management leadership directly to client firms, equity sponsors and governments.

Client issues have ranged from start-up to high-growth, crisis management, forensic restructuring, turnaround, process re-engineering, and acquisition support.

Mr. Patterson received his BSCommerce in Accounting from the University of Louisville. He is active in the Dallas Chapter of Institute of Management Consultants, serves as President of Big D Toastmasters, and is a member of the Dallas Friday Group and the National Eagle Scout Association.

This half-day seminar dusts off some old standards and explores some often overlooked techniques to enhance cash flow and strengthen your company's financial position for the challenges ahead.

In this program, participants will revisit traditional measurements of liquidity and financial strength and examine critical opportunities to take control of your cash.

In this program participants will:
Revisit critical measurements of financial strength, including:

  • liquidity
  • returns on assets, etc.
  • coverage ratios.

Learn a series of key strategies to increase cash flow, including:

  • shortening the sale to cash cycle
  • extending the purchase to payment cycle,
  • eliminating cash drains

Understand how to improve your company's financial position, through

  • re-examining sales and purchasing agreements
  • revisiting employment and lease agreements

Know how to prepare their companies to:

  • seize competitive opportunities
  • negotiate effectively with customers, suppliers and lenders
