You understand that effective marketing is fundamental to your success and growth.
But is your marketing effective? Are you reaching enough prospective clients? Are you sending the right message? Is your message delivered frequently enough? Or too often? Are you spending more time and money than necessary?
Marketing for the small business is very different from the marketing done by large corporations with deep pockets and a dedicated marketing staff. To be effective, you need to create a marketing system to allows you to reach the right prospective clients with the right message in a consistent and affordable way.
In this session you will learn how to implement a marketing system that is right for your business. You will also learn how to systematically market to your prospective clients in an affordable and effective way.

 Our Speaker – Rusty Smith

Rusty Smith is a local TAB-certified facilitator and is also a certified Strategic Business Leadership coach. He grew up in a family-run business in Alabama and moved to Houston in 1981. He has over 25 years of executive business experience leading, managing, building, and growing businesses. At Compaq and Hewlett-Packard he was a division manager responsible for revenues of up to $1.5B and up to 300 employees. His major areas of expertise include business development, marketing and general management for businesses ranging from startups to very mature operations. Rusty speaks German and has extensive international experience including foreign assignments, managing multinational teams, and managing global businesses. He also has significant merger and acquisition experience.
Rusty is an adjunct professor in the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship at the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. He is also a regular contributor to The Houston Business Journal for their Small Business series. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Alabama and a master’s of business administration in marketing from the University of Houston.

Fee covers both sessions and lunch. Pre-registration is requested The deadline is the Tuesday of the week of the event.

Walk-ins are welcome without reservations but will pay a $10 surcharge per person.

No credits will be issued for cancellations after Monday on the week of the event.
