Dear International SIG Members and Guests:

The Foreign Trade Association's 84th Annual World Trade Week is in May. Elizabeth Glynn coordinates a Day at the Races, as one of the 40+ World Trade Week activities throughout May. It is an excellent opportunity to network and have an enjoyable afternoon at the Races, as well. In addition, this event includes the 'live' simulcast of the Kentucky Derby. In the past, people have come from Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco, Arizona, even New York and Florida (and one in transit from the East Coast to Asia).

Therefore, I would like to invite you (and anybody else who is interested) to meet as the International SIG consultants group at the 18th Annual Day at the Races to celebrate the beginning of the World Trade Week and the running of the Kentucky Derby.

Here are the event details:

Date: Saturday, May 1

Where: Finish Line Terrace Café / Hollywood Park

Time: 10:30 a.m. ( 1st race (post time): 11:00 a.m. / the Kentucky Derby is typically between 2:45 - 3:30pm)

Cost: $45.00 per person (include admission, private patio (overlooking the finish line) seating, gourmet buffet lunch.

Tickets can be purchased via www.wit-la.org (events) or the Foreign Trade Association, www.ftasc.org (events). One need only identify themselves as an IMC member. Please note this is an 'ADVANCE Purchase' event. Tickets will be mailed upon confirmation of ticket purchase. Tickets are available on a 1st come basis - there are 50. Let me know if you are going to attend.

Additional items that may be of interest for International SIG Members & IMC members:

1/ World Trade Week Kickoff Breakfast / Monday, May 3, 2010 /

For information visit www.worldtradeweek.com / this will be well-attended (300+) by professionals across trade & Southern California

2/ Does an IMC organization membership with the LA Chamber or the World Trade Center Association make sense? Let us know about your thoughts on this.

Good news for those who are interested in our International SIG and who are not (yet) IMC members:

We will open the International Consulting SIG to IMC members and non-members, as well. You may attend our meetings as many times as you like. The only thing we will change is to ask non-members to pay an additional fee of $5.- when they attend a meeting. As of June 2010 IMC-members will pay $20.- and IMC non-members will pay $25.- for the Int SIG breakfast meetings. We are looking forward to seeing you at our meetings! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Elizabeth and I are looking forward to seeing you at the Races!

Best regards,

Anita
