Since joining the Deloitte organization in 1975, Doug Lattner has held many key leadership roles and has served a wide variety of clients, primarily investor-owned utilities in the electric, gas and telecommunications industries.
 
In 1975, Doug joined the consulting practice in the Dallas office. He was promoted to principal in 1985. His leadership responsibilities have included managing director for the Dallas office and regional managing director for our Southern region. He has served two terms as leader of the global energy practice, organizing it as a worldwide practice in 1996.
 
During his career with Deloitte Consulting LLP, Doug has directed a number of engagements in the United States and around the world. As a leader in the consulting and energy industries, he has extensive experience in strategic and financial consulting. His specific areas of concentration include mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, privatization, the formation of strategic business units, financial planning and controls and organizational analysis.
 
Doug holds a Bachelors degree in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma and an M.B.A. from the University of Dallas. He is a Certified Management Consultant.
 
Doug has been named one of the "Top 25 Most Influential Consultants in the Country" by Consulting Magazine.

The worst economic blow in seven decades, the Great Recession devastated the U.S. economy and almost brought down our financial system. But now signs continue to proliferate that the worst is over and the economy is on the mend. In his talk, Doug Lattner will discuss the prevalent factors that will determine the scope and characteristics of the current recovery. He will also discuss how he guided Deloitte Consulting through the downturn and the outlook for the consulting profession overall going forward.
