In Don’s work—building spacecraft, everything must work correctly every time –
there is simply no room for error. All work, therefore, must happen through
dialogue between all parts of the business.
Denise Blommel’s law practice means dialogue both verbally and in writing is
crucial to stating cases, explaining evidence and negotiations.
Without GREAT dialogue
skills, neither would be successful in their practices.
Don the Engineer and
Denise the Lawyer, a husband and wife team, bring humor and practicality to the
difficult issue of workplace communications. As trained mediators, Don and
Denise will also give us the Seven Steps to Solution in handling workplace
conflict and simple misunderstandings.
Come to our breakfast
meeting on Friday, February 11 and see some ideas that can take your workplace
communications to a whole new level.

DONALD R. DOERRES, II, is a member of the technical staff at Orbital Sciences
Corporation. He has been working with the development of spacecraft and the
teams of people that build them in one capacity or another for nearly forty
years. Don has worked in diverse capacities such as systems engineer,
electronics designer, software designer, and team leader. Over the years, Don
has found that getting the job done right, on time, and within budget is far
more dependent on the person to person communication skills of the group
members and on their ability to resolve internal and external disputes than on
technical prowess alone. Don is a regular public speaker and a trainer
around the country. His topics range from basic communications skills training
to public presentations about spacecraft he has worked on through the years.
