One of the difficulties that larger organizations encounter is how to change their core processes to respond to (and even to leverage) a changing environment…and how to do that quickly, at low cost with minimum interruption in operations. Kaizen Events are a technique borrowed from the manufacturing world and when expanded upon to deal with enterprise-wide processes (which give the organization its greatest chance for large improvements) have yielded excellent results.

To be effective any improvement effort has to: 1) involve the persons in the process and there needs to be 2) specific direction/communication with senior executives. The Kaizen approach does this well. In addition, for the improvement to have the greatest impact it needs to address the process from end-to-end, all at the same time! This can be difficult to do unless a proven, structured approach is taken.

Come find out how Chuck led a Large Scale Kaizen Event and changed a large company’s core processes quickly, at low cost, removed substantial cycle time and cost and gained the trust of the workers in the process such that they were integral to the design and implementation of the new process.
