Join us on Tuesday April 5, at Cal State University, Fullerton (CUSF) for a special presentation to consultants serving entrepreneurs and high tech clients.

Presenters will be Sean Snider,
Associate Director for the Orange County / Inland Empire Regional Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, and John Jackson, Director of the CSUF Center for Entrepreneurship.


The Center for Entrepreneurship
is a "Center of Excellence” within the College of Business and Economics at California State University, Fullerton. Established in 2001, the College of Business and Economics is the largest accredited business school in the State of California and the second largest accredited undergraduate business school in the country. Cal State Fullerton hosts the Orange County/Inland Empire Regional Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration.


Discussion topics will include:

  • Opportunities for consultants to help local start-up companies
  • Entrepreneurship training for small businesses startups
  • Technology commercialization
  • Strategies for growing small businesses to create jobs
  • Training for web expertise including social media
  • Examples of technical success of student start-up companies from CSUF

Join us for this stimulating meeting which will explore the boundaries where education, entrepreneurship, consulting, and SBDC support meet. We will proceed to a local restaurant following the meeting.

Sean Snyder, Associate Director Regional SBDC Network

Sean Snider is the Associate Director for the Orange County / Inland Empire Regional Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network. He has been a part of the specialty SBDC TriTech, which focuses on equity funding, and is now at the Lead Center SBDC, which manages and sustains the regional network. He holds a BA in Entrepreneurial Management and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Cal State University, San Bernardino.

John Jackson, Director CSUF Center for Entrepreneurship

John Jackson is the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at California State University, Fullerton and a Lecturer on Entrepreneurial Marketing, Marketing Strategy, and Professional Selling. Known as "Professor JJ", he brings practical marketing and sales knowledge to the classroom from both Silicon Valley and Wall Street. He has been in high technology sales at Signetics Inc., in market research with Dataquest, where he served as Vice President for 10 years.

welcome for up to three SIG meetings. If your consulting
practice serves the high-tech industry, please join us!

The Mission of the IMC Technology SIG is to:

    • Identify opportunities in consulting to high-tech clients.
    • Develop more effective consulting skills in serving high-tech clients.
    • Facilitate use of technology by client companies.
    • Support each other through networking and professional relationships.
    • Create a collaborative group of consultants serving high-tech clients or performing technology development.
