How to do Consulting Business
with Startup Companies -- and Get Paid

With Tom Miller, President, Persuasive Business Plans

Few companies need consulting services as much as startup companies -- and there are many of them in Southern California. Challenges are to get in at the right time with the right companies, and to structure deals where you not only get paid, but get in on the action.

Join us on Thursday, July 14, at our IMC Orange County breakfast meeting, to lean about the do's and don'ts of consulting for startup companies. Our presenter and discussion leader will be Tom Miller, who has devoted much of his professional life to the exciting but dangerous world of startups. Topics will include:

  • The entrepreneurial landscape in Southern California.
  • The mindset of the entrepreneur.
  • Finding entrepreneurial firms for your services.
  • Understanding the virtual firm.
  • Selling to first time buyers of consulting services.
  • Creativity in compensation for the consultant.
  • Keeping the interests of the clients first.
  • And a lot more...

Expect a lively discussion, since nearly all consultants have worked with startup companies and have the scars to prove it. This will be a great meeting for consultants in all specialties.
