Social Media has changed how people are exposed and influenced to new concepts, products and services.  Companies who are seeking a stronger on-line presence or looking to create new customer demands and expand their market space should know how to use and leverage the many opportunities via the internet.

Using case studies, the speaker will illustrate how a business can

tap into new Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) opportunities to
increase market position and growth revenues.


Liz Garnand is a principal with Newport Consulting Group and a member of the strategy and operations practice with a focus on marketing and business diversification.  Liz has over 20 years of combined experience in marketing, product, and sales management with an emphasis in managing B2B technology products from concept to market launch.  

Her marketing background includes marketing communications, marketing strategy and product management touching all marketing aspects from identifying the marketing opportunity, creating the strategy and implementing either a product or a marketing program.  With her breadth of marketing experience combined with course instruction and teaching, she uses Social Media as one means for implementing a sound Marketing Plan.  

Liz also contributes to Newport Consulting Group's social media presence and marketing point of view. Liz earned her Honors Business Administration degree at the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western Ontario University.
