Your client wants to go global –
Now what do you do?

By Ken August, Esq., Founder & President,
August Law Group, P.C.

Many businesses in America have determined that they must have a global presence to sustain themselves. Large US corporations have made strategic moves to earn a large percentage (and in some cases, the majority) of their revenues offshore within the next decade.

What does all of this mean for us Consultants? How do we stay engaged with existing clients and find opportunities for new ones? It is difficult enough to help clients manage their businesses locally – what are the issues that arise when they decide to go international? What does "going global” really mean? What skill sets are required to remain competitive, and what resources are available to help us navigate these tumultuous and murky waters?

Join us at our October 13 IMC Orange County Breakfast, as international attorney Ken August, who advises US and foreign clients on corporate, financial and commercial matters, reviews the current economic changes and trends, and what these mean to businesses and management consultants. Topics covered will include:

  • Distinguishing between fact and fiction: what is really happening out there?
  • How can we, as consultants, derive opportunity and profit from the economic chaos around us?
  • How best can we support clients when they determine to expand overseas?
  • What are the specific business and legal concerns we should be aware of to advise our clients during the process?
  • Where can we turn to get reliable information and data that supports or challenges our client's strategic thinking?
  • And a whole lot more.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going – overseas. Be prepared to meet the additional challenges which arise when this occurs. Have the cutting-edge information you need at your fingertips to respond to calls for client assistance.

This will be an interactive discussion and learning experience, with an opportunity to network and share your international business or consulting anecdotes with other self-employed professionals in the Greater Orange County area.
