Most enterprises today have an array
of analytics aspirations, but few have consensus around where the final
destination lies. Through its ongoing research, IIA has documented examples of
how leading enterprises have succeeded in setting their analytics "North Star”.

his work at IIA, the leading independent analytics research firm, Mr. Phillips
focuses on how the adoption of data and analytics by certain firms leads to
competitive differentiation and higher performance. Mr. Phillips speaks
frequently on cultural changes, organizational models, talent acquisition and
the requirements of new leaders in a data-driven world. A
native of Portland, Oregon, Jack grew up fly-fishing on the McKenzie River.
After attending Ainsworth Elementary and Lincoln High School, Jack ventured
east to attend Williams College and Harvard Business School. He now lives with
his wife and three children in Portland, where he coaches youth lacrosse and
soccer, and is an active member of the Portland investment community, advising
