Since emerging from Great Recession, the Texas economy has generally grown at a moderate pace with Houston and Austin leading the way. In this talk, Jason Saving will discuss the current state of the Texas economy and its near-term prospects as well as recent signs that the DFW economic growth may be accelerating. He will conclude with a brief discussion of longer-term issues confronting the state as it seeks continued growth in the future. Attendees should plan for an engaging talk with ample opportunities to ask questions and gain insights into near-term and longer-term implications for their clients, their own companies and the consulting profession.

Saving is the author of articles on European economic integration, American welfare policy, Social Security, and other policy issues, published in such journals as Economic Inquiry, Southern Economic Journal, Public Choice, and Southwest Economy.
