IMC Ethics Workshop
Learn how to respond quickly to practical,
real world experiences that present
common ethical dilemmas.

Good Ethics Is Good Business!

Ethics is often thought of as a burden, an extra consideration, or an obligation for a professional services practitioners.  However, successful management consultants and other professional advisors have learned that adherence to a well -established ethical code can, in fact, be a roadmap to success and provide competitive advantage. The ability to respond quickly to the vagaries of professional practice based on a set of established principles allows you to act with speed, build credibility, and engender trust; all of which are essential to building a successful professional services business.

What Would You Do?

You have been a subcontractor for a larger firm with a local client. You know one of the senior executives in the client organization from your community volunteer work. You are approached by the executive about another project that he wants you to perform directly. This work is clearly in your "sweet spot" and you need the business. The larger firm you subcontract for does not normally do this kind of work.

What would you do?  Why would you do that?
What is the value of doing the right thing?

This is an example of an ethical dilemma faced by small (or solo) professional service providers.  How do you quickly and honestly identify and confront situations like this and always opt for the "right thing to do"?

This workshop explores how a set of principles, like the Institute of Management Consultants Code of Ethics, can in fact be a roadmap to success in your business.

 Audience Take-Aways:

  • Collaborate with other professionals on practical, real world experiences that explore common ethical dilemmas
  • Learn how elements of a set of principles (the IMC USA Code of Ethics) can contribute to your business success
  • Learn why and how ethics is an essential business driver
  • Learn how ethical behavior and decision can be a source of commercial value for you
