In the early days of the 20th century, businesses were built on "small town rules". One-on-one and face-to-face communication mattered. New technologies during the mid to latter part of the 20th century created a mass marketing mentality.

Now, we find ourselves going back to the old days where relationships matter and those relationships take time. Social media is an absolute necessity in creating ongoing and evolving relationships with prospects and customers.

This workshop will debunk some of the myths of social media marketing, it will:

  • Explain why we need it now more than ever,
  • Demonstrate how you can start using social media today to market your consultancy
  • Do business like your parents and grandparents did "back in the day".

Scott Koenig

the Workshop is delighted to have social media guru Scott Koenig lead this important workshop. Mr. Koenig was a co-founder and partner at TripleScoop Market Research. He implemented innovative market research methodologies and was one of the first to use Facebook as a qualitative research platform. Using this strategic and innovative approach to market research, the firm attracted clients like SC Johnson, Kraft, Frito Lay, Schick, Hewlett Packard and Wachovia Bank.

He is a member of the Qualitative Research Consultant's Association (QRCA) and past director of the American Marketing Association Market Research Special Interest Group. He has been published in leading industry publications such as Quirks, Views, and Vue. He was also an early adopter of online qualitative research, moderating hundreds of on-line groups as well as traditional qualitative research. Mr. Koenig has served on the teaching faculties of Western Governor's University, Brigham Young University and Texas Wesleyan University. Scott joined The Dallas Marketing Group in 2015.
