Building Successful Consultant-Client Relationships (John Glennie)
Is any topic so important and yet so overlooked? As competent management consultants, particularly in solo and small firms, we are necessarily confident in our fields of expertise. But are we as confident in our knowledge and insight into the process of nurturing successful client relationships?
Many if not most of our opportunities will come from repeat and referred clients. We understand that a delighted client is critical to our business success. But good work, without savvy client management, will not produce client satisfaction and personal impact commensurate with the quality and impact of the work itself.
On April 9, Dr. John Glennie will lead IMC NCR through some concepts, principles, and examples for managing consulting client relationships. During the evening we will discuss how to maximize project impact, client benefit, and long-term consultant success. His presentation will address:
- Small firm vs. large firm contexts: Aren’t people really the same?
- Successful consultant-client relations: Philosophy, rules, or something more?
- How small firms may capitalize on our distinctive client relations advantages?
- Glennie’s Guide to Managing Client Relations
- What YOU can do differently?
||IMC NCR members are also invited to choose selections
from the Chapter’s member-donated management consulting
library free of charge the evening of this event.
To meet our rising venue and dinner costs, please note that registration for our chapter dinner meetings has
increased by $5 for members. The new pricing structure is:
