Who Owns Your Software
With Jerry Savin
Friday, November 6, 2015 @ 7:30 AM
Who Owns Your Software? This used to be an easy question to answer. We bought our software. We owned it, at least a license to use it. We controlled it. We kept it as long as it wanted. We renewed it but only if we felt like it. But this is changing in ways we may not appreciate. My presentation will discuss the changes that are sweeping through the software industry and how they will affect us and our clients. You will be surprised. Also, I will include Security Tips for the Traveling Consultant, at home or abroad.
Separately, I will update you on ICMCI, the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, which held its annual conference this fall in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. IMCUSA is 1 of 46 national institutes that comprise ICMCI. It is at ICMCI that International standards are developed and adopted. IMCUSA’ CMC standards, for example, are based on ICMCI standards and competency framework. One of the ICMCI themes, international collaboration, will be the basis for a 2016 Q1 LAX breakfast. Details to follow.
