LinkedIn has evolved dramatically from its start back in 2003. In the last few years, it has become the standard for promoting one’s professional credentials, whether looking for a job or not. In fact, not having a LinkedIn Profile can raise suspicions; it is the networking standard in the USA as well as in some other countries.

Because of its rapid rise, many people still have limited knowledge of what LinkedIn has to offer and how to maximize it as a career and business development and research tool. Sven Johnston has been using LinkedIn since its inception, is considered a “power user” and has some great tips we can all put into immediate use.
