IMC SoCal's Operations Consulting SIG is delighted to host the November 17 dinner meeting.
A panel of operations consulting experts will describe trends in their discipline. The panel will describe how consultants from other disciplines can leverage operations consulting trends to add value to their clients.
Is this important to a healthy consulting practice? One answer is paraphrased from IMC's recent Tip of the Day #140: “Looking All the Way Up the Value Chain”.
The concepts of robust supply chain analysis are increasingly essential for any consultant wanting to look at their client's business the same way the executive does. If your client's CEO is looking closely at five to ten steps up the supply chain, then you should be thinking the same way.
Bring your questions for the expert panel. Examples include:
Definition of ….Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, supply chain management, organizational change management, globalization, global sustainability and innovation, carbon footprint reduction, trading partner collaboration, new product development, total quality, and Theory of Constraints.

About the Speakers:
Jim Ayers, CMC is a principal with CGR Management Consultants LLC. He has assisted dozens of manufacturing, distribution, and service organizations to design and implement processes, systems, and organization structures. He has recently written and taught extensively on supply chain management. His books include the Handbook of Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain Project Management; both are in their second editions. Anita S. Katzenbach is President of ASK Business Consulting Group. She has designed and implemented complex organizational improvement programs and strategic change initiatives. Anita specializes in connecting HR-related issues to organizational strategies, global sustainability & innovation. In 2010 she will teach classes in Global Sustainability at UCLA Extension. Anita holds a MS degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from the Aachen Technical University in Germany. She has held leadership and consulting positions in various for-profit and nonprofit organizations, such as DaimlerChrysler and Mercedes-Benz. She can be reached at email@example.com .
William Swanson is Principal, Partner of Why Six Sigma, LLC & 6th Central. Bill brings the power of analytics to strategic planning. His specialty is applying advanced analytics and simulation methodologies for decision making in Sales & Marketing. Bill Swanson holds a BS degree from the School of Mechanical Engineering & Technology from Bradley University, a MS in Business Management from Marylhurst University, is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from the University of Michigan, and is also the only Oracle authorized Six Sigma Consultant in Southern California. Nicholas M. Testa, JR., CFPIM, CSCP, CIRM, Jonah, is a founder and CEO of Acuity Consulting, Inc. Acuity applies a wide range of tools drawn from TOC, Lean, and Six Sigma. Nick holds a BS in Physics from the University of Santa Clara, MBA from the University of Southern California, APICS's CFPIM, CSCP, and CIRM, a CSUF Certificate in Production and Inventory Control, and a Jonah from the Goldratt Institute. In 2006 Nick served as President / Chairman of APICS, The international Association for Operations Management.
