Peter was born with the instincts of a beat reporter-always asking the right questions in search of a big story. From Lexington, NC, he graduated with Honors from UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Media and Journalism, and then received his MBA from Dartmouth's Tuck School. Peter spent the next 20 years working on Madison Avenue in New York City. At Jordan McGrath Case & Taylor and Saatchi & Saatchi, he supervised EFFIE Award winning campaigns for brands such as Cheerios, Reynolds Wrap and Quaker Oats, rising to the position of Executive Vice President, Group Account Director.

Bert is a positive direction expert, facilitator and speaker. Since 1986, he provided many applications, projects and programs of Positive Direction Communication Skills™ for people and organizations to move forward, improve forward and successfully adjust to change. The uniqueness of these skills, approaches and practices is ‘direction’. He asks you, “What is the connection in your life to the direction in your life”. Much of his work included leadership team development.
