Social Media Revisited

With Angela Dingle CMC

What was once novel and exciting with promise, Social Media has seemingly become mainstream. However, due to the nature of the technology and its users, the field is evolving rapidly along with the best ways to use it for business effectiveness. Social Media is one of those areas in which you can become obsolete in a matter of months.

At the same time, there are new ways to use social media that didn't exist a few months ago (and even ancient history from 2009!). Quite possibly, these include approaches you can use to enhance your market presence and service to clients. We will not spend a lot of time with the history of social media, except to help you understand how it has evolved and how your use of social media may benefit from change.

We'll review the most popular tools and ones deemed most effective for consultants. We'll also provide some hands-on experience with some of these tools and share our most effective use of them to improve our skills and awareness, market our consulting services and serve our clients. Wrap up with a case study that examines how one or more business(es) used social media to improve their bottom line.
