Organization Analysis, Strategy, and Development:
Disarmingly Simple Truths

With Peter DiGiammarino

For decades organizations have sought and achieved productivity and performance improvement through strategic initiatives centered on information technology and process improvement that streamlined, automated, or eliminated steps to provide services and products.  While much progress has been made, there is a long way to go to achieve peak performance.

The next wave of strategic improvement will come principally from enhancing the way people in an organization perform as individuals and together in groups, teams, as an organizational unit and in its entirety. The skills to effectively lead this next wave are not taught in business school and are not easy to figure out on the job even by bright and highly motivated professionals. They can, however, be taught by experienced business leaders in for profit and not for profit ventures, including government.

Join us as Peter DiGiammarino of IntelliVen shares lessons learned from his 30+ year career – or what some call "disarmingly simple truths” - about how organizations, people, strategy and development come together to consistently drive success.

Our Presenter

Peter F. DiGiammarino is a senior executive with more than 30 years of successful experience developing and driving teams of high-potential, growth-driven professionals build highly successful and fast-growing ventures.

Peter is Principal of IntelliVen, LLC, whose proven approach helps professional services and high-technology ventures achieve sustained growth and performance as they move from start-up to credible stage of venture evolution. Clients include public and private, for-profits and not-for-profits in North America and worldwide (e.g., Carlyle Group, Novak Biddle, Paladin Capital Group, Compuserve and Touchstone Consulting).

Peter’s particular skill is helping top teams develop and align corporate strategy with operations. He helps teams implement governance, performance metrics, incentive and communications programs to ensure acceptance by their organization and marketplace.

In addition to serving on the University of Massachusetts Foundation Board, Peter advises non-profits, and is Adjunct Professor of Organization Analysis, Strategy and Development for the MS/OD program at American University in DC.
