Risks and
Rewards for Your Consulting Practice: Legal and Financial
Decisions You Must Control
An Evening With Don Lord and Daniel Krakower
|  |
|
Operating
a small, professional-services firm is fraught with risk and opportunity. Choices you make now can have major
downstream effects that leave you either very glad or very sad about your decisions.
The form of business organization you choose, your
retirement strategies, your relationships with clients, employees, partners and
teams, all can increase or diminish your competitive strength, capability and
opportunities. These decisions involve complex legal issues and financial concerns
not always immediately obvious. Taking fully informed, careful action is especially
important to your kind of business and the only winning strategy.
IMC/NCR presents an interactive panel discussion with two subject
matter experts you’ll appreciate: a business attorney with special expertise to
help you avoid, solve and manage legal issues especially relevant to small
professional service firms, and a fee-only financial advisor whose firm brings
small firms and their owners the quality of financial analysis and guidance traditionally
available only to large companies and the super-wealthy.
Topics
for discussion will be drawn in part from ideas you raised at our October Buzz
Session, plus questions you raise at the meeting, like:
- How
best to protect your most valuable assets, and manage your most critical risks;
- *Essential,
and often overlooked, elements of contracts and agreements with clients,
subcontractors and teaming partners
- Considerations
in attracting, taking on, and managing financial partners and investors;
- Growth,
exit and retirement planning – the long term, strategic view.
Join us November 10 and together
we'll get smarter!
The Moderator for our panel is
Eric Thomas, CMC, PMP. Eric is a proven leader, excellent communicator,
and fact-based problem solver, with strong business development and client
relationship management skills. He also serves as Certification Chair and
Treasurer for our chapter
