Today’s consulting world is fiercely competitive, mentally and
physically demanding, and requires constant training. To deal
successfully with new challenges and transitions, we need to manage stress - which
can both help and harm us - and to "own” our decisions.
This program steps into the expanding field of "peak
performance training”: the practical application of a growing body of research launched
by NASA in the 1960s. Techniques and tools from this expanding field are now
routinely used by NASA in areas like pilot selection and training, and by a widening
spectrum of others. As the research continues and broadens, so do its
implications for aging, cognitive functioning and other areas that affect
people in demanding, high-energy professions like ours. This is a field we'll all
hear more about and we’ll benefit greatly if we become early adopters.
Our interactive February program focuses on an integrated
approach and some proven techniques for handling stress as an interconnected
mind/body phenomenon. And of course, it gives us another opportunity to convene and network. The FitAdvantage model to be presented is an example of peak
performance training geared toward executives for whom time is constrained and high-quality
results are imperative. The program develops individually tailored, results-oriented
programs which include focused consultation and wellness coaching. You’ll leave
this fascinating, highly practical presentation with: • Knowledge of proven results from the growing field of peak
performance • Insight into how exercise trains both the physiological and
mental response to stress • Clarity about "choice” and ways to transform desire into a personal
action plan • Practical tools and techniques to personally reach higher levels of performance.
