IMC USA's Annual Ethics Discussion PRICING Join us for our annual ethics discussion at breakfast! Last year The San Diego Chapter walked through intellectual property. This year we'll talk about pricing and collection.
From the Code, Under My Commitment to Fiscal Integrity I will agree in advance with a client on the basis for fees and expenses and will charge fees that are reasonable and commensurate with the services delivered and the responsibility accepted.
Some of the topics we'll discuss are:
- What if a client offers equity rather than cash?
- Can/should I suggest equity rather than cash for payment?
- With piecework pricing prevalent in the market, what is my risk low balling to rebuild my practice?
- I use value pricing, how do the client and I agree how to measure the value?
- CFOs are paying me later and later, can I influence payment on time in the pricing discussions?
A Code of Ethics is like military pilot's emergency checklist. The pilot studies a system and rehearses the first two or three steps in an emergency so his or her initial reaction is committed to memory and intuitive. The Code is similar: study it beforehand, rehearse with us, so in a meeting with a client, you respond brilliantly. Hosted by Clint Burdett CMC® |
