Risk Management for Risk Takers

A Simple but Valuable Risk Management Strategy and Model

Management takes the risk – management should know how to identify, assess, prioritize, and, in all ways, manage risk. This presentation covers (1) the need for an organization to optimize its risk management strategy; (2) a risk assessment and management spreadsheet model and technique that I first developed for the Military and later adapted for the private sector; and (3) how management consultants can use this model to provide genuine, practical, value to their clients.

Our presenter for this month is Gene Razzetti;

Gene Razzetti, CMC completed twenty-seven years of command and staff military service in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1992 as a Captain (O6). He is a decorated Vietnam veteran twice awarded Legion of Merit and Meritorious Service Medals. He has been an independent management consultant and military analyst for seventeen years, and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) since 2001, specializing now in auditing and consulting for the ISO 9000, 14000, and 28000 International Standards.

As a member of IMC USA, Gene served on various committees, including Ethics and Certification Review, and wrote the first comprehensive CMC ethics and professional development examination. He is currently on the Professional Standards Committee with ICMCI.

Gene wrote The Executive’s Guide to Corporate Responsibility Management and MVO 8000, to assist CEOs to develop a corporate responsibility and ethics management capability in any kind of organization. His second book: Fixes That Last – The Executive’s Guide to Fix It or Lose It Management will be published in mid-2010.
