The IMC USA National Capital Region chapter helps our members “Get Smart, Get Known, and Get Business,” through programs and professional development, networking and social activities, and marketing and business development services, as described below. NCR serves Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. With more than 130 members, half of whom are Certified Management Consultants, and has been the fastest growing chapter in the US. Our members serve public, private, institutional and global clients in a range of industries and disciplines. Whether you are a manager seeking to address a weakness or capture an opportunity or a professional consultant looking to grow and provide your skills in new areas, we welcome you to IMC NCR. Monthly Programs
The IMC National Capital Region Chapter provides regular monthly educational and networking programs in the form of a regional Chapter meeting and local ABC meetings. Monthly dinner meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC, from 5:30-8:30pm. Services Offered to Consultants
- Continuing Professional Development IMC NCR sponsors half-day professional development workshops on topics to enhance practical skills for consultants such as facilitation, proposal writing, business simulation, and practice development.
- Mentoring Programs As a benefit to business development and professional growth of its members, IMC NCR provides a speakers bureau referral service and mentoring to consultants seeking to reinvent their practices or pursue certification
- Monthly newsletter about chapter events, members, consulting tools, and business trends of interest
- Referral service for consulting engagement leads (members only)
- Social events – annual holiday party, golf outing, and other events to meet and enhance relationships with your professional colleagues
- Liaison with similar professional associations such as ASTD, CBODN, MAFN, and UPSA, offering some member privileges and prices at programs
- Outreach efforts to area business schools and business organizations.
