A Duke MBA with 18 years executive level strategic marketing experience, Kirsten has worked for and with the nation’s most admired and innovative B2B and B2C brands. Her Fortune 100 career leadership roles include: National Marketing Director for Whole Foods Market, WebMD’s Director of Advertising and Digital Media, and brand manager at General Mills, Coke, and P&G. During her career, she has helped launch 30 products and brands (from Cool from Nestea and Go-Gurt to BrightScope and Deal Current), managing marketing commercialization budgets ranging from pocket change on up to $75 million. As President of RE:INVENTION, Kirsten has helped over 50 Clients — Fortune 500 companies and high growth startups — earn millions of annual business media impressions, win 75 reputation-building awards, achieve double-digit sales growth, woo investors, and realize profitable exit strategies. Three RE:INVENTION Clients have sold for over $200MM.
Social/Volunteer Organizations
A former Entrepreneur Magazine marketing columnist and award-winning blogger, Kirsten currently serves as a CONNECT San Diego Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) and on the global advisory board for the International Stevie Awards for Women in Business. She is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and the American Marketing Association. Previously she was elected to the prestigious Economic Club of Chicago think tank, chaired the YWCA Chicago Future Leaders Board, and served on the National Leadership Council of the National Association of Women in Business (NAWBO), the NAWBO Chicago Board of Directors, and the Springboard Enterprises Venture Forum Midwest Steering Committee.
