Mr. Palowitch received a Doctor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Management from the Sloan School at M.I.T. Dr. Palowitch’s thesis research was done in the areas of qualitative modeling and simulation at MIT’s Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory. He received undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Bernard L. Palowitch, Jr. is an Engagement Director, a Senior Consultant, and a Knowledge Management Subject Matter Expert at Iknow LLC. He is also the Founder and President of Iknow. He has over 28 years of consulting and project management experience and has been involved with or led over 120 consulting assignments during his career.
Prior to founding Iknow LLC, Mr. Palowitch was a Senior Partner in Ernst & Young’s management consulting practice. At E&Y, Mr. Palowitch sold and directed client assignments at many of the leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. He was the firm’s global service line leader for both Strategy Services and Knowledge Management in these industries.
Mr. Palowitch was Corporate Director—Business Reengineering at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. In this role, he initiated, planned, and directed strategic and process reengineering projects across the company. Mr. Palowitch began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he was a Senior Project Manager. At McKinsey, he led numerous consulting engagements at clients across many process, assembly, and technology-based industries. He was a member of McKinsey’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology practice.
His clients have included Amgen, Booz Allen Hamilton, British Petroleum, Daimler, Detroit Edison, Dow Jones, GlaxoSmithKline, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, Pharmacia, PPG Industries, Raytheon, Roche, and Shell Oil Company.
