I was originally trained as a medical technologist and worked as a laboratory scientist for 6 years before being promoted into management. A family move brought me to Charlotte in 1990 where I developed a well-respected, profitable business for Presbyterian Health Services.
I continued to broaden my experience at Premier, Inc., a group purchasing organization for hospitals, where I led consulting engagements focused on process improvement. This work led me to start a small firm to focus exclusively on the unique challenges and opportunities of medical laboratories.
In addition, I am certified in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
I enjoy volunteering through my church, where I also lead the instruction of confirmation for nine years.
Sprick Group is a management consultancy that serves the medical laboratory industry. We focus on strategic business planning, laboratory operational restructuring, consolidation engagements for integrated delivery systems, operational reviews and improvements using Lean Six Sigma, Lean facility design and outreach program development.
The laboratory industry is highly regulated and complex, yet we are experienced and knowledgeable about the complexities associated with clinical integration of laboratory service delivery, leadership, and management.
Although we are a small boutique firm, we are sought after by healthcare executives and well-respected by our industry peers. Our client base ranges from individual hospitals to multi-hospital integrated delivery systems and from commercial reference laboratories to diagnostic manufacturers.
