Bernard E. Robinson is President and Owner of the Institute for Human Development. He is an experienced and skilled learning and performance management consultant. He works with clients and solves problems by applying performance improvement solutions. These include such services as leadership and business coaching, training design and facilitation and other socio-technical techniques. For more than 35 years, he has provided performance management consulting and learning development services for customers, across abroad array of public and private sector industries. He has guided the learning of more than 29,000 persons at executive and various managerial levels. Bernard has excelled in helping managers examine their leadership practices and helping his clients achieve their business goals. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and holds a MA Degree in Teaching (Special Education) from George Washington University and a BA of Science degree from D.C. Teacher’s College.

Bernard is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). This certification is awarded to consultants who have met high standards of education, experience, competence, professionalism and ethics as a management consultant by the Institute of Management Consultants USA, Inc. Recently, Bernard and the Institute were recently selected as a recipient of the 2010 Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award. This is a regional award recognizing outstanding women and minority business owners in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Philadelphia and the District of Columbia. Since September 2014, he also was selected as a member of the Mentor's Guild. The Mentors Guild invites seasoned management consultants and business experts with at least two decades of expertise and a track record of thought leadership to become members. For over 15 years he has been an active mentor for leadership students, business professionals and leaders as well as young and developing entrepreneurs.
