H.E.L.P. Helping Empower Local People, This is a community organizing group that is active in the Charlotte, NC metro area. It consisted of some 35 local churches in the region to offer assistance to the poor and underpriviliged in the Charlotte area. I managed one of the key focus groups for a period of 4 years in the late 1990s.
