For four decades, Jane Blume CMC® has been an award-winning communicator who has pursued dual careers in public relations and public broadcasting. Since 1989, her public relations firm, Desert Sky Communications, has helped clients gain visibility and recognition for the wonderful work that they do by getting “the right messages to the right audiences.”
Desert Sky’s broad range of services include public, community and media relations planning, training and implementation; corporate identity/graphic design; writing and editing (including articles for internal and external publications, websites, brochures and newsletters); photography; advertising; special events, and website design and hosting services.
Virtually all of the firm’s clients come in on referral; they tend to be leaders in their fields or aspire to be; have wonderful stories to tell, and have concern for their community beyond their products and services.
In her career, Jane has enjoyed a 90% placement rate in the media for news releases, feature-story and interview ideas, guest articles, letters-to-the editor, and op-ed pieces.
Active in IMC USA, Jane was appointed editor of The Connector in the fall of 2008.
