LEADING THE WAY TO SUSTAINABLE CHANGE!
Kay has over 30 years of hands-on experience with improving operational/financial performance and culture change. She uses a balanced approach to improvement, where the "people side of improvement" gets just as much emphases as process improvement work. She is comfortable in the production environment, but knows that strong relationships with associated support functions (maintenance, purchasing, accounting, marketing, etc.) are critical to production's success. Kay strives for culture change between departments and within management teams to position her clients for real and lasting change. She has worked in 10 states, Canada, South America and Australia.

"REVELATIONARY" CHANGE IS JUST A MOMENT AWAY...
Companies spend millions of dollars and several years trying to reach their improvement goals. When results don't meet their expectations, they try another initiative (i.e., flavor of the month), hoping that it will finally deliver the benefits and degree of change they seek. Most companies don't realize that their desired change in performance and culture may be just within their reach - a moment away, a word away, a different strategy away, or something said in a staff meeting that causes people to reduce their commitment to change.

Companies cannot fix what they do not see or understand, which causes them to be victims of "improvement sabotage". Barriers within management processes and management teams are often the greatest reasons for this sabotage. They cause confusion, conflict or mistrust, the financial and cultural impacts of which may be felt months later. Often these barriers are only discussed behind closed doors, which puts them into "no man's land" and out of the normal scope of improvement work. By making these barriers the scope of work, amazing things happen to performance, culture and management credibility!

The Change Revelation was created to reveal those barriers and the truth about change, maybe for the very first time:
- what must be different to achieve improvement (processes and behaviors).
- what change really means to the management team, personally and professionally.
- new mindsets and skill sets required to remove barriers to change.
- barriers in management tools and processes used for decision-making, project management, problem solving, and communications with the workforce.
- the connection between lasting change, management's interaction with each other and the workforce.

This "revelationary" management training program is based on revelation learning, where tools, visuals, stories, case studies and "change experience exercises" help people see things differently in an instant and never go back to their old way of thinking. By applying this technique to barrier removal, people stop accepting old ways of working and make different choices because they see the value, not because someone told them to. This program is effective as a stand-alone management development program or as an add-on to proposed or existing initiatives.

BOOKS ON PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT / CHANGE MANAGEMENT:
“Building An Opportunity Culture - Addressing The Barriers That Steal Profits and Prevent Sustainable Change” (2008) raises awareness about the barriers that prevent companies from meeting expectations with process improvement work. Twelve chapters cover different aspects of the “People Side of Improvement” and include nearly 40 non-technical case studies about success and failure with improvement. These case studies, combined with the author's anecdotes and perspectives on behaviors and paradigms, will help managers create cultures designed to sustain change in large and small organizations. Go to TheChangeRevelation.com/Products to learn more and purchase the book.
