Houston’s Economic Outlook

“If Houston were a country, it would be the 28th largest global
Economy in the world. Larger than Austria and South Africa, but
smaller than Taiwan and Argentina.”

                                                                                    --Patrick Jankowski

Houston is the fastest growing major metropolitan area in the United States. Population growth, high employment, and some of the greatest job growth in the country… truly a dynamic and diverse economy.

Come listen to Patrick Jankowski as he provides an overview of current industry outlook, population, employment and job creation trends, in addition to key economic indicators including home sales, auto sales, and the Houston purchasing managers index.

Patrick Jankowski is vice president of research for the Greater Houston Partnership.

Through its Business Development, Public Policy and Membership Divisions, the Partnership develops and implements integrated programs to enhance the business climate, business activity, job creation, economic development and quality of life throughout the Houston region.

Jankowski has led the Partnership’s Research Department since 1981, providing information gathering, data analysis, database management, economic forecasting and mapping functions for the Partnership's five divisions.

He is a member of the Texas Economic and Demographic Association, the Council for Community and Economic Research, and the National Association for the Business Economics. He is currently president of The Houston Economics Club. Jankowski is a frequent speaker on business and economic issues and has served as an expert witness in cases regarding local business and economic trends.

Jankowski received his bachelor's degree in economics from The University of Texas at Austin.

Come join us for what will certainly be one of the best meetings we’ve had at IMC-Houston in some time. Look forward to seeing you there!
