The mission of the Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMC USA) is to promote excellence and ethics in management consulting through certification, education, and professional resources.

Strong student chapters are a vital part of IMC USA. Additionally, student chapters provide an effective path to the management consulting profession, both inside and outside of academia, benefiting both the students and the management consulting profession.

Members of the Student Chapter must be members of IMC as defined by the Student Member category.

A Student Member is a full-time college or university student who has an interest in management consulting and supports the objectives of the Institute.

The special Student Member rate is for those actively studying at an Accredited University or College, who may become management consultants, and who agree to abide by the IMC USA Code of Ethics.

Other student type initiatives are the Management Consultant Clubs and Management Consulting Student Associations which are sponsored but not members of the local IMC sponsoring chapter.
