Colorado Chapter member, Kae Rader, MPA, is celebrating the launch of her new book, Appreciate Leadership: Focus on
What Works to Drive Winning Performance and Build a
Thriving Organization (McGraw-Hill,
2010), which she co-authored with Diana Whitney, Ph.D. and Amanda
Trosten-Bloom.
Many smart, well-intentioned leaders know that the "command
and control” leadership style they learned a generation ago no longer works.
Today’s younger, multicultural workforce calls for a more collaborative
approach. Appreciative Leadership
describes clear concepts and offers practical tools to help leaders elevate
personal and collective performance in ways that resonate with the hearts and
minds of the people they lead. It’s a "how to” guide for consultants who seek
new techniques for getting positive results by building upon what already works
and engaging others through inquiry and open dialogue.
