In just the past two months,
IMC-Houston has had elections, installed a new slate of officers (including a
President-Elect, for the first time), and had a day-long Board Planning retreat
at the University of Houston campus.
Rusty Smith, our new Chapter
President, led that event, and in it we crafted a go-forward plan for the
consulting crowd in this nation's 4th largest city that includes
geographic-specific meetings, SIGs, and formalizing our member-acclaimed
"mastermind" meeting format in our Professional Development sections.
The Houston Chapter continues to
be well-run fiscally, leaving the new board with a significant surplus of
operating funds, and a method to continue that growth. The new board has pledged to run the Chapter
just as responsibly, leaving those same funds for their successors in
2011.
