IMC USA Kicks Off Academy at 2005 Confab Print E-mail

At the 2005 Confab in Reno, NV, IMC USA rolls out its ambitious plan for the IMC USA Academy for Professional Development. The Academy will provide members with those courses and educational tools to keep their professional skills in service delivery and practice management among the top in their fields. The ad below will anounce the Academy's kickoff in January 2006 (see full size ad)

The curriculum will be divided into several levels, each corresponding to experience of the student, roughly corresponding to the levels of the IMC USA Value Matrix (see below), and whose content will be tied to the IMC USA Competency Framework:

For new consultants, the curriculum will focus on introductory skills in defining your practice, marketing and consulting behaviors. This series of courses is also targeting the consultant who is actively seeking a path of lifelong learning.

For experienced consultants, the curriculum will focus on broadening one's perspective into other functional disciplines and consulting behaviors. This mid-level track will be the focus of our first course offerings in 2006 and is aimed at preparing the consultant for certification.

For the senior consultant, we will provide  a series of specialized courses and educational settings that highlight the issues faced by consultants who have experience possibly in several industries and functional disciplines, often over decades. These will be specialized courses highlighting business transformation, practice exit strategies, and alternative ways to leverage your years of experience.
