Getting Linked-In

Using the Web for Effective Business Networking

Most consultants will tell you that their most potent and reliable method for getting new engagements is through referrals. The better-known you are, the more referrals you are likely to get!

To kick-off our new season of the Management Consultants Forum, we invited one of the premier networkers in the Metroplex, Dennis O'Hagan, to describe how he uses business networking, specifically Linked-In, to expand his circle of contacts and gain valuable referrals.

Join us on September 17th and learn how you can build your own network using the web. As an IMC member, you may already be a member of Linked-In. But, are you leveraging Linked-In and other electronic communities to their full capabilities? How do you know? What else could you be doing to broaden your network?

The web provides an almost unlimited capability to find people. How many people know you well enough to refer you to someone in their network? How can you assure your wider network of contacts that you can deliver the services needed by someone outside of your circle of normal contacts? What kind of results can you expect if you focus on building a stronger and wider network using the web?

Learn from a recognized networking dynamo. Here's your chance to gain from Dennis O'Hagan's experience and double-check your own methods of networking and gaining referrals.

Don't miss IMC D/FW's next Forum! There will be plenty of time for networking with colleagues before the interactive program while you enjoy a light buffet and your choice of beverage.

Gain new insights about wider, more effective networking. Relate your own experiences and ask questions. Have a great time!
