Partnerships can be legally complicated! Join IMCNE for a hands-on discussion with Jean Sifleet (www.smartfast.com), legal advisor and CPA. Jean has helped consultants and small businesses negotiate contracts, set rates, protect copyrights and trademarks, develop licensing agreements, non-competes, partnership agreements, and resolve business disputes.
Participants will gain insight on topics such as:
- Know the critical success factors that make a partnership work
- Recognize the stages of an effective partnership: forming, storming, norming, and performing
- Explore how size differences can affect the partnership, i.e. individual consultant to individual consultant vs. big company to small company
- Learn about business development alliances, such as referral partnerships or distribution and licensing agreements
- Discuss why partnerships often fail, and learn tips to help you succeed
The evening will include networking and a light dinner prior to the start of the workshop and Q&A.
As a special invitation to non-members, we've reduced the registration fee to the member/affiliate rate for this event. Please join us!
