Akira Oyama is a founder and principal consultant of NetStrategy Solutions. He has over 20 years of experience in network planning, network cost analysis, and setting strategic network corporate telecommunication goals. His focus is helping organizations successfully manage their network costs based on optimizing networks, least cost network route planning and carrier negotiations. He has been a member of the IMC NCR chapter since 2012 and has supported the board as needed. He also holds a leadership position in the Cub Scout Troop 1871.
As a corporate manager, Akira has extensive experience in successfully initiating cost reduction programs by working through and leading telecommunications professionals from various internal and external organizations. As a treasurer, he plans to go beyond the usual annual budgets, audits, and financial tracking by leveraging his experiences in team collaborations. His plans include discussions with the NCR board leadership and to understand and discuss their priorities from the perspective of chapter members. He believes budget priorities and financial decisions should be closely align to the member's interests.
