Mike Gallo is founder of Valerisys Consulting, LLC. Mike has been a professional member of IMC since 2012 and has served on the NCR chapter’s membership committee.
Mike is an expert in the use of top-down parametric analytical approaches to improve business decisions. Mike developed his insights and expertise from his 20+ year career of building complex parametric pricing & budgeting forecasts for providing key financial insights to senior decision making clients in the Department of Defense. Many of his clients were responsible for large, multi-billion dollar capital investment and program acquisition decisions. Mike adopts a broad, multidisciplinary approach to financial analysis that draws on concepts, theories, and techniques from accounting, finance, economics, operations research, statistics, engineering, and management science to provide unique, value added, decision support services to clients.
Prior to establishing his own firm, Mike used his data-driven financial analysis, modeling, and budgeting expertise to help a small-business federal contractor grow from less than $1M in sales to over $13M. During his 11 year tenure, Mike served on the Company’s Board of Directors as well as fulfilling the roles of Vice President/CFO and Division Director.
Currently, Mike also participates as a member of the Board of Directors for the Frederick County Habitat for Humanity serving on the Board’s finance committee. Mike also provides mentoring to new businesses as a Certified Mentor for SCORE, a non-profit organization sponsored by the Small Business Administration.
Mike holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Mike lives in Ijamsville, MD with his wife and three sons. When not working, Mike enjoys non-fiction reading, playing video games (poorly) with his sons, and performing timekeeping duties for his son’s ice hockey games.
