Named Among Top 50 New Jersey Businesswomen
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Loraine Huchler, P.E., CMCÒ, National Board Chair & CEO of the Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMC USA – www.imcusa.org), has been named to the prestigious list of New Jersey Biz’s Top 50 Businesswomen for 2013.
Recently elected the second woman to lead the venerable consulting organization in its 45-year history, Huchler is the founder and president of MarTech Systems, Inc. (www.martechsystems.com), a Lawrenceville, NJ-based management consulting firm that specializes in managing water-related risks in commercial and industrial facilities. Her company counts among its clients Fortune 100 organizations such as refineries, paper mills, chemical and electric power plants, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Known as a "water doctor,” Huchler is acknowledged as an influential voice in her industry. She has been instrumental in shaping industry water standards to mitigate health and safety risks that can lead to outbreaks of Legionnaire’s disease. Additionally,she serves as an expert witness on a broad range of issues in industrial water management, including equipment failures, patent infringement and industry standards of care.
Huchler is alsoan accomplished speaker and author. Since 1999, she has written a quarterly column on managing risk in water systems for the international trade journal, ”Hydrocarbon Processing,” presents peer-reviewed papers at influential industry conferences, and has published the first in a series of four books, "Operating Practices for Industrial Water Management, Influent Water Systems,” (Gulf Publishing, Inc. 2006).
In 2012, Huchler received the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Entrepreneur Award for her leadership, technical achievements, and service to SWE and the community. She most recently served as Board Vice President of IMC USA, and previously was president of the New Jersey chapter. She also served three terms as the president of the New Jersey section of SWE and is the counselor for the student SWE section at Rutgers University.
She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of New Jersey and Maryland, and has earned IMC USA’s Certified Management Consultant (CMCÒ) accreditation.
