Donald W. Stukes
- Patrick
McClure
Lisa,
Benjamin, Donald, and Patrick
are new members of IMC
USA. We are delighted to
have you join us and hope
that you will become a
vital and participating
member of our Southern
California Chapter!
IMC
Southern California's mentoring
program
If you are one of our new
IMC SoCal members (or an
old one) and would like to
arrange for a mentor, please
send an e-mail to Edith Bodnar,
Mentoring Chair for IMC SoCal.
Similarly, if you are a senior consultant,
especially if you're a CMC, we need you to
help bring less experienced members up to speed
in the profession. If you'd be willing to contribute
some time to help another IMC member (and incidentally
refresh your skills, advertise your capabilities
within the organization and strengthen IMC
SoCal itself)...
Please contact Edith Bodnar, at e_m@att.net or

President's
Message |

As
many of you know,
the Board of Directors
uses the late Spring
and early Summer
months to work on
a smooth transition
from year to year
for the chapter.
It is during that
time that retiring
board members communicate
their job duties
to the newly elected
and help them to
get acquainted with
the realities of
serving our chapter's
membership. Once
again, I would like
to thank those who
served last year,
including every member
of the IMC SoCal
Board of Directors
who is continuing
to serve in the coming
year. We appreciate
each and every one
of you. Thanks! Together,
we have accomplished
many good things
for IMC members and
guests. If all our
plans work out, there
will be more good
things coming in
the program year
ahead! |
The
Board of Directors roster
is maintained on the imcsocal.org

for new CMCs Don McNamara

IMC's
website is growing! A
Feature of the site is
a Members' Link page
where we post member logos
and links to the member's
site. As many of you know
this type of linking can
improve your positioning
on search engines and better
make you visible on the
Internet. Please contact
us at news@imcsocal.org to have your
information added to this
members-only page. Another
feature of the site is
a carpooling info sheet for
those people wishing to
set up a carpool to the
monthly IMC events (breakfast
and chapter meetings).
Members can simply provide
information on their preferences
and this information will
be added to the site, allowing
other members to match
up their needs.

Get
Known with Press Releases!
Most
consultants have insights
to offer potential clients.
Generating press interest
is one way to get the word
out. If you generate press
releases, your “story” could
appear in news outlets
and trade publications.
Although
the public relations firm can
be quite helpful, the consulting
organization doesn’t need
one to write and distribute its
press releases. A benefit of
IMC membership is free consulting
on the benefits, an approach,
and the process of publicizing
your services with press releases.
CGR Management Consultants has
uses Business Wire for its public
relations program. Other outlets
are available if you choose.
Business
Wire distributes press releases for its
members targeting news outlets in geographic
areas. For narrow geographic distribution,
like Southern California, the cost is currently
$165 for a 400 word release. (This article
is 370 words.) The highest cost for national
distribution is about $600 for the 400
word release. This includes your logo on
the release and tracking of “hits” on
the BW website.
