    President's Message

Small Groups: Adding Value for IMC Members

At the request our members, IMC SoCal is going to experiment with "small group meetings". These groups may have a variety of formats - "advisory boards", marketing roundtables, special-interest groups (SIGS), general-interest group (GIGS) etc. The idea is to create more opportunities for IMC members to get to know each other and work together to improve our respective consulting practices. Jerry Savin started the ball rolling with a memo suggesting several options; Barb Mather lobbed it over the net after facilitating two ad-hoc meetings this month with IMC members to evaluate those ideas and others.

Jim Ayers has drafted a position paper for the small groups. Barb Mather is planning to "test the waters" to see if female members might be interested in a "women's special interest group". If you are interested in organizing such a group, please contact Jim Ayres or Jerry Savin. Watch future Newsletters for announcements!

    Best wishes,
    Margaret Chock CMC, President
