At the Consultant’s Forum, IMC DFW will award Randy Mayeux, a founder of the First Friday Book Synopsis, the Dr. Richard F. Tozer Innovation & Entrepreneurship Leadership Award. Randy Mayeux has served the Dallas business community through his passion for reading since 1998. As co-founder of the First Friday Book Synopsis, he personally has offered his take on over 250 titles to its audience. Experienced in theology, rhetoric and business, Randy brings book briefings on poverty and social justice to CitySquare’s Urban Engagement Book Club. Besides writing for these two audiences and a worldwide client base, he has authored the e-book, 12 Vital Signs of Organizational Health to summarize key lessons learned over 20 years of reading & speaking on the best business books.  The award is named for Richard F. Tozer, a longtime Dallas management consultant who taught at Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas at Dallas.

 

A panel led by Dr. Michael Egan, CMC®, will bring Dr. Tozer’s legacy to a new audience.

Panelists Richard Morgan, Bette Price and Dan Weston promise a lively discussion.

RICHARD TOZER AWARD CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION
 
 

In honor of the numerous contributions that the late Richard Tozer made to the Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of IMC, his consistent Championing of the Ethical Foundation of the Consulting Profession, and numerous contributions to the academic community in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex, the Award should be given to candidates having these characteristics:
 
A thought leader in the business community for at least ten years,

A history of involvement in humanitarian activities in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex,

A commitment to the ethical conduct of business and appropriate decorum,

An active role in improving the business community through outreach and collaboration,

Adding insight about best practices to the Dallas / Fort Worth business community.

Dr. Richard F. Tozer, a long time consultant in Dallas, focused on helping small, growing companies solve problems and develop long- term strategies for consistent rapid growth in sales and profits. He also developed and presented related educational and training programs, and helped attorneys as an expert witness in complex legal cases. Dick was best known in the Dallas/Fort worth Chapter of IMC for having founded the group that has become the Consultant's Workshop. A frequent part-time faculty member, he organized and chaired successful speaker series for both UTD and SMU.

Refund Policy When a refund request is made 24 or more hours in advance of an event, IMC/DFW will apply this paid event fee to the same type of future event to be held within 90 days. Refund requests made within 24 hours of an event cannot be honored.

Held 7:30-9:00 A.M. on the second Friday of each month at the Telos Club on Dallas North Tollway, this collaborative session helps participants build key skills needed to run a consulting practice. Always open to all.

Offered on select third Monday evenings.  Anticipates business ideas and trends, stimulates idea sharing, cultivates networking.
